There is a respectful and family focused way to resolve the issues surrounding the breakdown of a relationship and ease the uncertainties surrounding separation.
The legal process does not need to increase conflict and disagreement between spouses.
The professionals involved in the collaborative method are committed to helping spouses communicate effectively, respectfully and fairly to resolve their family law matter and to set them up to communicate in this way in the future - as co-parenting and communicating with your spouse doesn’t end when the relationship ends.
The professionals in the collaborative method, including lawyers, communication/parenting coaches, and, if needed a financial professional and/or child specialist, are there to focus on the client’s goals and are committed to the positive reorganization of your family. The lawyers will provide recommendations for other professionals. The goal is to reach mutually beneficial solutions that places the children’s best interests at the fore front.
All conversations and exchange of documents in the collaborative process are private and confidential.
The collaborative method allows spouses to keep control of the process and the outcome of their separation. Each spouse will have their concerns addressed in a respectful and meaningful way. The decisions made will be yours - not that of a Judge. The Collaborative method is equally beneficial for spouses who do not have children.
The collaborative process is often a much quicker and more cost effective method to resolve family law issues than the alternative of proceeding to court.
